“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
School is out for the summer and now you can finally take time to look back and reflect on life. (or at least sleep in and eat ice cream all day ha ha)
How did the school year go? Did you make new friends? What did you learn about yourself and those around you? Anything you would change?
I remember when I was in school and year after year I noticed “friends” changing. Some friends would change for the good and others…well…not so much. Change can make life hard, end friendships, and create drama that seems to never end.
Change is never easy. Maybe you had a friend change this year and you aren’t too sure if you like it or not. If this is the case, I challenge you to pray about it. Spend time with God and focus on what “changes” are good for your walk with Him.
What changes have your friends made that you don’t agree with?
In what ways have you changed?
This summer, reflect on the changes in your life and decide which ones glorify God and which ones glorify this world.
Have you ever been upset because someone changed in your life? Maybe you have a friend that is too involved with thier boyfriend and losing touch with you, or a family member that just doesn’t understand anymore, or maybe even a grandpa or grandma who is getting older and changing in ways you don’t quite know how to handle.
Nobody can keep people from changing, but the Bible tells us that Jesus will never change. Jesus will always be reliable. He promises never to leave you, and He is always there to listen.
Isn’t it good to know that though this world is always changing, Jesus will always be the same!
Although other people change, Jesus will always be the same.
May God Bless you and show you His Grace every day!
